Authorized service point
An authorized service point is a business a manufacturer has entrusted with repairing its devices — in particular warranty repairs settled at the manufacturer's cost.
Authorization is a two-way arrangement. The workshop gains access to original parts, technical documentation and training; in return it takes on the duty to report repairs and to meet the standards the manufacturer imposes.
This creates a distinctive position: the service point sits between the manufacturer and the end customer, answerable to both at once — to the customer for turnaround and quality, to the manufacturer for correct settlement. Matters get more tangled because one workshop is often authorized by several manufacturers at the same time, each with its own requirements for the scope and format of reporting.
Then there is visibility. A technician needs access to their own orders, but not necessarily to manufacturer settlements. The end customer should see nothing beyond the status of their own case.
In Reklamator, stages and operations are governed by permissions: a technician sees their own work, a manager sees everything, the end customer sees only a status. See how access is divided in service management.
